Admissions is not for the faint of heart. With that being said, we would like to invite all women in admissions to connect and network with other women in the industry. We'll hear from leaders in our profession, discuss demands and work/life balance, learn self-awareness/self-defense, career advancement and more.

Information about our Keynote:

Beth Talbert 
(M.A., Bowling Green State University) is a special instructor at Oakland University. She teaches on Leadership, Persuasion, Gender Communication, Interpersonal Conflict, and Women in Leadership. She is especially interested in the ways women both inhabit and experience leadership. In addition to teaching, Beth serves at the academic adviser for the Communication Program. Most recently, Beth has spearheaded the establishment of the OU Women's Leadership Institute. As a Trustee of the Rochester Community School's Board of Education, she has twice served as board president. She is also a member of the Women Officials Network, an organization serving elected women with the Oakland County area. Beth is an adjunct faculty member for the Michigan Association of School Boards and is a frequent presenter and trainer on campus and in the community.
