An endowment is a financial asset that is usually invested, and the income generated from these investments will be used to annually support student scholarships, while the principal amount remains intact to sustain future support. All endowment funds will be held by MACAC.
History of the Scholarship and Maggie Miller

In 2007, MACAC named its annual scholarships in honor of Maggie Miller. Maggie, a school counselor at both DeWitt High School and Okemos High School, was known for her passion for life and the profession. She was the kind of counselor who invited both students and colleagues into her heart, her office, and her home. For Maggie, this work was about people, first and foremost. In 2005 Maggie was stricken with ALS and passed away in 2008. Since 2007, more than 30 students throughout Michigan have received the Maggie Miller Scholarship in her memory.
